UPDATE: 1330 Thursday 19 October 2023
We have made good progress clearing a blocked sewer in Winchester Road, Southampton.
Around 50m of sewer in the road was blocked with concrete by a third party, making the repair complicated and lengthy as specialist drilling equipment was required.
A temporary surface level pipe has been installed, supported by tankers, to ensure customers’ services are not impacted.
Until the repair is completed, which could take up to a further two weeks, there will be traffic management and ongoing works in the area. This will impact Bladon Road, Fuchsia Gardens and Winchester Road.
Our customer team is in touch with residents about the activity. We would like to thank the community for its patience while this important work is completed.
